New Training Facilities at Asha Deep

The inauguration of the new training center at Asha Deep was held on February 25, 2015. The program was combined with parents meet. A group of about 200 people including a good number of parents, guests and the past trainees who are already working at different places, were part of the celebration. Ms. Eva and Ms. Africa were present from Manos Unidas and Rt. Rev. Cajetan Francis, the bishop of Muzaffarpur diocese graced the occasion. Fr. Paul Mariadas, the representative of the provincial and Fr. Paul Varicka, the coordinator the building and construction were also present.

The program started with entrance dance, garlanding and giving of bouquet to the chief guests and special guests.

    The program had the following components:
  1. Inauguration of the building by cutting the ribbon by Ms. Eva and Ms. Africa, representatives from Manos Unidas followed by the lighting of the lamp.
  2. Blessing of the building by Bishop Cajetan Francis followed by a short message on how Asha Deep has been a channel in making the rural youth efficient in economic empowerment by bringing out the hidden power in them.
  3. Experience sharing on how Asha Deep had been instrumental in shaping their future by some of the trainees who passed out of Asha Deep and are engaged in different jobs.
  4. Sharing by the present batch trainees regarding the dreams of their future.
  5. A thrilling cultural program which consisted of prayer dance, dandia, folk dance, plays based of trades that are offered, poems on Asha Deep written by the trainees themselves, song on Asha Deep, etc.
  6. Ms. Eva and Ms. Africa shared that they were very much impressed by the performance of the rural youth. They said that given a chance anybody can rise up in life with hard work and future dreams. They were happy to see the rural youth are prepared to get a job within a short time. They were also happy to see the youth communicating with them in English.
  7. Fr. Paul Maria Das encouraged the students saying that 'self confidence can help you to do the impossible.'
  8. We also acknowledged with gratitude all those who helped us directly or indirectly in constructing the new building to increase the facility for an effective and efficient training of the rural youth.
  9. At the end of the program all shared a fellowship meal with us, which was prepared by our trainers and trainees with love. It was indeed an enriching experience for all of us to cherish.
