Inauguration of the 13th Batch of Asha Deep was held on 9th August 2014 (the batch was started on the 1stof August). The inauguration was done by Rev. Bishop J. B. Thakur, SJ by lighting the traditional lamp. A cluster coordinator, a trainer, a trainee and a brother joined in the lighting of the lamp representing different groups of people involved in the training. Rev. Fr. Cajetan (Bishop elect), Mr. Rajan (Cluster coordinator), Mr. Rakesh (Placement coordinator), Trainers along with religious sisters, priests and brothers from in and around Muzaffarpur were present in the program. During the mass Fr. Cajetan (Bishop elect) gave an inspiring homily about St. Ignatius to enthuse the rural youth.

During the inauguration, the new building was also blessed for the purpose of the skill enhancement training. The feast of St. Ignatius was also celebrated on the same day. Thus it was a three-in-one celebration.

It was delighting to see big number of trainees in the campus. We are happy to state that we have 203 trainees in Asha Deep in this batch, out of which 75 are girls. Basically we have trainees from SC, ST, minorities, differently abled (physically challenged) and women from all sections.

After the meaningful Eucharist with students and guests the chief guest appreciated the staff and trainees for their effort to create a new society of youth with economic empowerment. Fr. Jesuraj thanked all the dignitaries for their encouragement and support they extend towards the training program.

The trainees performed a short and wonderful cultural program to entertain the guests which was well appreciated by the audience. Among the programs were a welcome song by Nikki and company, a dance by Mevish and company, a dance by Khushbu and company, etc.

At the end of the program Fr. Jesuraj thanked fathers, sisters, brothers and well-wishers for their encouraging and enriching presence. The program ended with fellowship meal with all those who came for the inauguration.
