Youth Towards Building Harmony

A Youth Seminar was organized at the Patna deanery level at Kurji Parish on 21 and 22 October, 2017. There were 65 participants from various parishes of the deanery in the seminar. A wide range of topics were dealt with by experts in those fields. The seminar was inaugurated with a Holy Eucharist by the Fr. Johnson S. J., the dean of Patna. Fr. SushilSah, S. J. introduced the youth to the world of goal setting and personality development. Mr. A. V. Jose gave a brief introduction to the Holy Bible. Mr. Praveen Kumar Madhu, Secretary, PUCL Bihar, Mr. Akshay Kumar, writer and activist and Dr. Mohammad Arif, Chairman, Centre for Harmony and Peace, Benaras, presented a paper each on the Socio-Political and Economic context of India today. The youth were made aware of various minority rights and legal aid by Mr. Uday Kumar Vincent, a lawyer. Sr. Shweta, SSH enlightened them about the various possibilities in the field of medicine. Mr. Ajit Julius threw light on various opportunities in a variety of fields. In short, the two days were very enlightening and meaningful for the youth. Each one went back home with some hope for a brighter future.
