Batch 13 Parents’ Meet held at Asha Deep, Muzaffarpur

The Parents’ Meet was organized for the 13th batch at Asha Deep, Muzaffarpur on 11th October 2014. Dr.Pankaj, a famous poet and social worker at Muzaffarpur was the chief guest, and the programme started with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest. After that Fr. Jesuraj, the director of Asha Deep welcomed the chief guest, the parents, and the special guests. He called upon the parents and the trainees also to share their experiences of being in Asha Deep and the transformation they go through during the training. Most of the parents came on to the stage and shared about the changes they found in their son/daughter. Some of the sharing of the trainees were very touching. Many of them felt that they went through a transformation of life being at Asha Deep.

Dr. Pankaj expressed his views and appreciated and thanked Asha Deep for running this type of programme at Muzaffarpur, especially for the rural and needy youth. He said this centre prepares the youth not only for job but also prepares them to be responsible citizen and good human beings. This is an important and significant event where the trainees and their parents see a significant change the trainees go through during the training. A power point presentation was also shown to the parents regarding the students’ life and activities at the centre. Fr. Jesuraj briefed about the program and the achievements of Asha Deep. He informed the gathering that from each batch at least 80% of the students were placed in different organisations and business units for job. The parents were very happy after knowing the process of the training and the placements of the trainees. One of them named Ram Bharosa Singh, a parent of Anju Kumari, presented his views in Bhojpuri language and also sang a song in Bhojpuri regarding changes he noticed in his daughter. The parents were greatly surprised at this.

A variety of cultural programs like; songs, dances, role play, and music were presented by students. The students expressed their gratitude towards Asha Deep. At the end of the programme the trainees and the parents looked very happy and satisfied. It was a memorable day for all at Asha Deep.
