Jeevan Sangham Organizes International Human Rights Day

Jeevan Sangham, a unit of Patna Jesuit Society organized International Human Rights Day celebrations in Barachatti block of Gaya district. The organization has been engaged in innovative educational support to the marginalized communities of this area for almost a decade. Over 500 villagers belonging to the Mahadalit communities gathered for this awareness-building programme conducted under the banner of ‘Lok Manch’ (a programme as part of right to food). Various programmes and messages reiterated the 'recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family' as 'the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world'. A special focus was on the public distribution system (PDS).
