JESUIT CONFERENCE OF SOUTH ASIA MEET IN JABALPUR
The Jesuit Conference of South Asia (JCSA) comprising of all the Provincials and Regional Superiors of India, Srilanka and Nepal, are meeting at XIDAS- Jabalpur (19-28 Feb 2017) deliberating on various developments in the South Asian Assistancy. Fr. Arturo Sosa, SJ the General of the Society of Jesus and three of his Counselors are also present.
From Patna Jesuit Province, Jose Vadassery, the Provincial (President of PJS) is also taking part in the 10 days long deliberations and meetings.
Siji Varghese, SJ, the Director of the Development Office-PJS gave a presentation on the status and future plans of the Assistancy Development Office (ADO) set up at national level and is situated in India Social Institute, Delhi.
Many deliberations were on ‘living the spirit of the General Congregation 36’ with focus on discernment, networking and collaboration. Position papers were presented on Ecology and Environment, the issue of internal migration, skilling the youth and innovative education for empowerment.
